Handover

The New House

 

A handover is a process that is conducted to ensure that all appliances are tested along with providing all certifications and warranties. Keys are collected and tested to ensure all windows and doors are functioning correctly. In addition to this we will also take meter readings, and connect up any smart meters if they have been provided. During this process we will also scan the property to ensure it has been cleaned to a satisfactory standard and any home user guides are left within the unit ready for occupation. During this process photographs will be taken, of meter readings and keys etc, and attached to the handover form.

 

Once the property completes, the agent or developer will arrange for the keys to be released. If you are unable to collect this in person we can handle the handover on your behalf. Many of our UK and overseas investors tend to choose this service as we will ensure all documentation is received and signed on your behalf as well as the below:
- All certifications and warranties to be provided.
- All keys tested to ensure windows and doors are functioning.

- Meter readings taken.
- Scan of the property for any visible issues.
- Ensure the defect procedure and home user guide is received.

Check in service:

A check in service is conducted when your new tenants move in to ensure the transition is as smooth as possible. This will involve a key handover, meter readings, any required documentation, and a home demonstration. It also enables both parties to be aware of the property’s condition.
