The New House

 

Snagging is a careful and thorough check of your newly built property to identify defects that have occurred during the build. The onus will be on the homeowner to itemise and report any defects to the house builder or developer, and that’s where we come in.  We have had cases that have been engaging with developers for snags to be complete with no avail, however once a professional snagging report has been issued then the required works have either been carried out or conducted a deal with the purchaser.

Snagging services are ideal for property investors too. It’s much better for a snagging service to find that your new buy-to-let property has significant faults than it is for your new tenant to find them and threaten to withhold rent.  This way, all defects should be rectified prior to any tenancy commencing.

A snagging inspection can also be useful following an extension or major renovation project. This will ensure the renovation work carried out is to a high standard, you are effectively getting what you pay for and no shoddy workmanship has been carried out.
